Conservation Planning from Tahoe to the Bay
County and sub-county scale Habitat Conservation Plansand Natural Community Conservation Plans are in preparation or being implemented in a number of counties in the San Francisco Bay Area and the Sacramento Region. These plans provide a means for the conservation of endangered species and contribute to their recovery, while allowing appropriate, compatible growth and development in the metropolitan areas.
