Vision 2040: Moving Napa Forward is the process currently underway to prepare a long-range transportation plan for Napa County. The plan will set policy and spending priorities for the county’s transportation system over the next 25 years (through the year 2040). Toward this end, the Countywide Plan will analyze future transportation conditions countywide and recommend a set of projects and programs to address the county’s transportation needs.

Vision 2040 is being led by the Napa County Transportation & Planning Agency (NCTPA). The process will address all aspects of the transportation system, including local streets and roads, freeways, public transit, walking and bicycling. Particular attention will be paid to the transportation needs of low-income communities.

NCTPA is relying on the public’s involvement to help shape the Plan. The first major opportunity for Napa County residents and others to be involved is a series of community workshops taking place around the county the week of April 21, 2014 (see below for details). At the workshops, the public will have the chance to learn more about the project, voice their transportation needs and concerns, and share their ideas for improving the transportation system.
