Event: Pepperwood Preserve Volunteer Workday
Date:Sat, Jul 14th 2018, 8:30am - 1:00pm
Please RSVP by Friday, July 13
Open spaces like Pepperwood can play a vital role in wildfire response strategies, serving as fuel breaks and important points of access for firefighters and equipment.
At this Saturday's workday, the preserve staff will be removing vegetation and downed wood along Pepperwood's roads to create better access for emergency vehicles. With help from volunteers, this will make some significant headway on improving the preserve's value to first responders, and help manage fuel loads in the process.
All are welcome so please invite your friends and family. It's looking like Saturday will be warm so please bring lots of water and sun protection.
